Hello, I have details about Group Captain Charles Appleton and what happened to him on his final operation in 1944 over Normandy.
After Dieppe he fought in North Africa where he lost a leg in a bombing raid. He is buried near Caen.
Like your image very much, can I get a hi-res copy for use in the Museum I work for?
Regards,
Steve Davis
