Flt Lt Howard Peter “Cowboy” Blatchford

Canadian Flt Lt Howard Peter “Cowboy” Blatchford DFC of No. 257 (Burma) Sqn, exits his Hurricane at RAF Martlesham Heath, November 1940. Having risen to the rank of Wing Commander and claimed 5 victories, He was sadly killed whilst escorting bombers over Amsterdam on 3rd May 1943. He is memorialised at Runnymede, Surrey.
