Ruins of the Great Mosque of Gaza, WW1

November 1917. The Third Battle of Gaza: The ruined interior of the Great Mosque of Gaza. The Mosque was partially demolished by British gunfire after it had been established that it was being used by the Ottomans as a dump for munitions.
